Five Important Life Lessons I Learned from Julie Andrews

Christopher Plummer once said that working with Julie Andrews was like getting hit over the head with a valentine.

I couldn't agree more. I love her feisty confidence and all around optimistic view of the world.

And because this is a top five list, here are the top five important life lessons I learned from Julie Andrews.

#1. When you're sad, the best thing to do is to have a good cry and then wait for the sun to come out, it always does.

#2. A spoon full of sugar really does help the medicine go down, especially if medicine is another rejection and the sugar is a pan of brownies followed by a whiskey.

#3. NEVER let a man have the last word in an argument!

#4. Every sticky situation can be eased with a song.

#5. When in doubt, start an impromptu dance number.

BONUS!

Confidence will take you far in life, no matter how silly your hat looks.

Which Julie Andrews movie is your favorite?

Congratulations! You made it to the end of the post. Please enjoy this music video by one of my favorite bands. Hint, it's from the 80's.

Is there a BAD Julie Andrews film? I don't think so. I guess if I had to pick one, I'd pick Victor/Victoria. That's just one funny movie!

Okay, despite the familiar face, I had to Google who she was ='_'= But I am decidedly ashamed - she's been in heaps of movies that I like, playing heaps of characters I like. Thumbs up from me :)
